It is a dream come true to collaborate with such a prestigious institution, which also holds personal significance for me. The objective is to not only expand the museum’s archive of public activities but also to create compelling video series designed to engage younger audiences.The first video I edited for MNCARS—a conversation with Filipino filmmaker Kidlat Tahimik—was recognized as one of the museum’s web top content pieces in 2023. Since then, I have directed and edited a range of interviews within the framework of the ‘Documentos’ program, which explores the relationship between art and editorial work, featuring celebrated artists such as Julie Doucet, Chris Ware, and Daniel Clowes. Since 2020, I have had the honor of working as the director and editor for their entire social media video content. In the initial phase, I created several videos showcasing the artists and brands involved in the hotel’s transformation, including photographer Paula Anta, the historic bonbon brand La Pajarita, the branding agency Mothership, jewelry firm Andrés Gallardo... Following that, we expanded our focus to document other legendary Madrid-based brands and establishments that embody the spirit of the capital, just as the hotel does. Over the past four years, I have developed and directed the following key series:︎︎︎ The Buqué Series: I directed a series of videos revisiting classic still lifes with a modern twist, incorporating drinks and referencing the rich artistic tradition of nearby museums like the Prado and Thyssen. The title, Buqué, refers to the aroma of fine wine, connecting the series to both cocktail culture and still-life painting. The project was a collaborative effort, using silverware from the hotel’s archives, floral arrangements by Brumalis, cocktails from Pictura, and produce from the hotel’s restaurants. Team: Elisa Palma, BRUMALIS, Marina Da Cunha &amp; Itziar Nieto. ︎︎︎&nbsp;Seasonal Flowers: Highlighting the evolution of the hotel’s floral décor by brand Brumalis, synchronized with the changing seasons. ︎︎︎ El Madrid de…: Featuring professionals linked to the hotel, such as photographers Paula Anta and Manolo Yllera, exploring their favorite spots in Madrid. ︎︎︎ Anatomía de un plato: A detailed portrayal of the creation process behind Deessa’s exquisite signature dishes. Additionally, through the hotel, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed institutions such as the Centro Nacional de Danza, which co-created the 2023 Christmas decorations, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, with whom the hotel partnered to crowdfund the restoration of a 17th-century painting, or Atletico de Madrid. I’ve also worked with prominent influencers such as Alexandra Pereira, Mercedes Gallego, and Karla Covavilla, further extending the hotel’s digital presence. Según el DRAE, el galicismo Buqué significa: 1.&nbsp; Aroma característico de un vino.2.&nbsp; Ramo de flores. El espectacular espacio de Pictura, reimaginado y rediseñado por Gilles &amp; Boissier, incorporó en su renovación un gabinete de retratos -de gran escala, que llenan casi por completo las paredes- de algunas de las personalidades más importantes de la cultura, de aquí y de ahora. Este encargo fue realizado magistralmente por Paula Anta, quien metió en una máquina del tiempo a Elvira Lindo, Jorge Pardo, Campo Baeza, etc. hasta el Siglo de Oro español para retratarlos, en claroscuro. Este gabinete se observa desde la barra, un gesto museístico que he querido continuar con una serie de vídeos en los que ahora revisitamos bodegones con presencia de bebida. Bodegones albergados en las paredes de los vecinos Museo Del Prado y Museo Thyssen, casi todos del siglo XVII, pero algunos posteriores, hasta del siglo XIX, que nos conectan con estas pinacotecas vecinas. Es decir, con la tradición PICTórica que lleva por bandera el proyecto de la coctelería. My work spans a variety of creative formats, including gastronomic storytelling (with a particular emphasis on cocktail culture), event reels, influencer collaborations, and partnerships with premium spirit brands. The videos capture the chefs’ passion for their craft, interspersed with stunning macro shots of ingredients and beautifully plated dishes, along with the latest trends in cutting-edge cocktails. ︎︎︎Neighbourhood Icons: A tribute to the cultural and gastronomic landmarks surrounding the hotel. This series highlights the hidden gems of Madrid’s historic center, just steps away from The EDITION’s iconic spiral staircase. From the traditional pastry shop El Riojano to the indie music store Escridiscos, we delve into the rich tapestry of local icons. ︎︎︎Guest Bartending: A dynamic series that showcases world-renowned bartenders invited to craft their signature creations at the hotel’s luxurious bars—Lobby Bar and the sensual Punch Room. These high-energy videos, set to irresistible music, capture the magic behind the cocktails. I built and directed the video department from 2018-2020, where we developed some video series, like: #ForbesTalks aimed to explore some questions with entrepreneurs or business people: What is entrepreneurship?
